Overcast HQ introduces innovative Generative AI capabilities that automate metadata tagging, find content with conversational search capabilities, and speed time to market for video asset managers working for the world's biggest brands. Announced the release.
Powerful additions to Overcast HQ's platform were announced with AWS at this year's NAB Show in Las Vegas today.
Founded by CEO Philippe Brodeur, the company works with brands such as Diageo, Vodafone and the Royal Opera House to control video content using a suite of cloud solutions.
“Brands and broadcasters these days have to manage hundreds, if not petabytes, of content,” Brodeur said. “Without Generative AI, it would be impossible to automate tagging and metadata entry. This is precisely the kind of backbone that slows teams down in an era when we need to move faster than ever. It’s a demanding job.”
He added: “For brands, creating personalized ads and other video assets for different geographies can be very difficult and may require regulatory and compliance changes.” By automating the creation of detailed descriptions and summaries, video asset managers can reduce time to market while incorporating compliance.”
In addition to this, Overcast HQ will provide customers with AI-powered conversational search capabilities based on AWS Bedrock. This allows teams to mine vast amounts of proprietary content, down to the individual frame, to create customized video assets.
George Kilpatrick, Chief Revenue Officer at Overcast HQ and former industry lead EMEA Media and Entertainment at AWS, added: “We are seeing a world where video asset managers are empowered, rather than constrained, by the vast amount of content at their disposal.” We are taking a generational leap forward in the personalization of content that people want.”
Julia Chen, vice president of AWS Partner Core, said: “We have all seen generative artificial intelligence (AI) being applied across a wide range of industries and functions, gaining widespread attention and making it imperative for customers to transform their businesses.
At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we believe our partners are well-positioned to support the specialized needs of our customers through consulting support and the delivery of specialized business applications with integrated generative AI capabilities. ”
