Creating videos from text prompts is now easier than ever, as there are essentially no limitations to video creation.
OpenAI quickly tightened restrictions on unauthorized use of its intellectual property, essentially disabling the app.
OpenAI announced the retirement of Sora in a post on X.

OpenAI’s announcement didn’t go into specifics, but the Wall Street Journal reported that OpenAI will be discontinuing work on video AI models altogether.
OpenAI has super app ambitions
The move comes as OpenAI is reportedly focusing on creating a super app that combines ChatGPT, Codex development tools, and the struggling Atlas web browser.
So, what will happen to the contract between OpenAI and Disney regarding the licensing of characters on Sora? Did such a thing ever happen? Not enough people used Sora to know about it.
