Ola's AI platform Krutrim competes with global technology giants in building energy-efficient data centers and offers cloud services for artificial intelligence development at the lowest prices, said founder Bhvish Aggarwal.

While speaking at the event, Agarwal announced Krutrim Cloud, a low-cost AI cloud platform for enterprises, researchers, and developers, with a focus on addressing the needs of Indian developers.

“We're building our own technology for energy management to create the most efficient data centers in the world. We're going to compete with the likes of Microsoft and Google. We're going to do better than them. We're going to raise the cost of cloud that American developers are paying. How is that justified? We're going to figure it out.” said.

He argued that major technology companies such as Amazon, Google, and Apple have closed ecosystems, locking developer work to their platforms.

“Krutrim's overall goal is to build a full-stack AI platform that makes it easier, faster, and cheaper for developers to create applications,” Aggarwal said.

He also said that no startup is making a profit due to the high cost of cloud services.

Ola claims that the Krutrim assistant app is built on a proprietary large-scale language model, trained on over 2 trillion tokens using the largest Indian data representation.

According to the company, Krutrim currently understands and generates intelligent responses in more than 10 Indian languages ​​and plans to expand to 22 official languages ​​in the near future.

Agarwal said Kurtrim is an Indian platform for developing global applications.

“We will create many more models that will be useful in the Indian context. We are working on voice models, vision-based models, etc.,” he added.
