Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang dismissed the fear that artificial intelligence makes people more intelligent. In a recent statement, Huang said he personally uses AI “everyday” and does not believe the technology is causing mental laziness. Instead, he sees AI as a tool that allows people to become more productive and creative.
His comments come when debates about the impact of AI on human thinking, creativity and productivity are becoming more and more common, especially as tools such as ChatGPT and image generators become integrated into everyday life.

“I use AI every day.”
Speaking in the interview, Huang shared that AI has become a part of his daily workflow. He emphasized that people tend to do their best by empowering users by acting as creative and supportive partners rather than replacing their own thinking.
“I literally use AI every day,” Huang retorted critics who argued that the widespread use of AI tools ultimately undermine human cognitive abilities. “My cognitive skills are actually progressing.”

Huang sees AI as a productivity tool
Rather than framing AI as a threat, Huang highlighted its role in expanding the possibilities of creators and experts. From drafting ideas to speeding up the design or development process, he sees AI as an effective force. He said people are implying that AI will be strengthened rather than hindering this process.
His stance reflects Nvidia's broader vision as he continues to build some of the world's most powerful GPUs leading AI models and infrastructure. Nvidia has been at the heart of the AI boom thanks to the demand for chips used to train large-scale language models.
