Washington, June 14 (SANA) Apple announced new artificial intelligence features for its HomeKit-enabled security cameras, expanding its push into the smart home market with tools designed to make it easier to search and analyze video footage.

The company says the new feature will allow users to automatically identify and describe events captured by the camera and use natural language search to find specific footage.

According to technology news website The Verge, Apple announced the update at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).

The company says the feature leverages the latest AI technology and is designed to help users find clips involving specific people, objects, or activities without having to manually review long recordings.

Apple also said the updated system supports live streaming and recording at up to 4K resolution. The company says video data is processed through an encryption system to enhance privacy and reduce reliance on external data sharing.

The announcement comes as major technology companies race to expand their presence in the fast-growing smart home space by integrating artificial intelligence into connected devices and services.

Apple has increasingly positioned privacy as a key selling point for its smart home products as it seeks to compete with rivals such as Google and Amazon.
