Novigi has appointed two new lead consultants, Dr Charlotte Marra and Dr Martin Roberts, who specialise in cloud and machine learning technologies, as it strengthens its focus on advancing its data management platform and propositions in these areas.

The company also appointed Anita Owens as executive general manager of its consulting and professional services division, effective June 3, 2024.

Mara brings nearly 20 years of experience in financial services to her new role, most recently as a Partner at Deloitte Consulting working with ASX listed clients to enhance their use of cloud technology, and has also held senior roles at Google and IBM, where she worked with clients to enhance their use of technology.

Prior to his role at Novigi, Roberts served as Principal Data Scientist at Predico Software and prior to that Principal Data Scientist at NEOM Energy & Water, and has over 25 years of experience in analytics.

Meanwhile, Owens joins the Novigi team from KPMG, where he was Director of Transformation Delivery, and prior to that was Program Manager for Sustainable Costs/Cost Reduction at MLC Life Insurance, where he spent almost 20 years in the financial services industry.

Novigi CEO Ash Priest said the changes will help the company better serve its clients and further increase the diversity of its leadership team.

“As we scale to meet the data and technology demands of the financial services sector, particularly Australia's $3.9 trillion superannuation industry, it's important we have the right team in place,” Priest said.

“We are thrilled to welcome these three individuals into the company, reflecting our commitment to combining market-leading data and technology products and propositions with deep industry expertise.

“The appointments of Anita and Charlotte reflect our commitment to increasing diversity in female leadership as a key part of our business strategy. We firmly believe that broad representation at all levels is a key driver of commercial success, and this includes building a balanced and inclusive leadership team.”

The move follows Novigi's acquisition of QMV Solutions earlier this year, which also included its data quality software, Investigate DQ. Novigi said the acquisition marks “an important next stage of growth for the combined company.”

“Since our founding in 2016, we have experienced significant growth while keeping up with the evolving needs of the industry, particularly our technological capabilities. As AI, machine learning and cloud computing become increasingly important in asset management, we are excited to help our clients derive maximum value from these advancements while continuing to enhance our own capabilities,” Priest said.
