concept introduces full Arabic language capabilities across the platform and represents the first significant expansion into the Middle East around the product. Starting January 26, 2026, AI-enabled workspaces will be accessible in Arabic on both web and mobile applications. This is a move driven by sustained demand from the region’s rapidly growing user community.
Localization spans all major Notion features, including desktop and mobile apps, the home page, and major sections of your website. This update is designed to help teams, entrepreneurs, and creators in Arabic-speaking markets work, collaborate, and organize projects more naturally in their native language, while still using Notion’s adaptive, AI-powered tools.
The Middle East has emerged as one of Notion’s most active markets, driven by a dynamic startup environment and rapid digital adoption. The company reports that it has millions of users in the region, with hundreds of thousands of users in the United Arab Emirates. Over 1,000 startups in the UAE have joined Notion’s startup program, with customers including organizations such as the Emirates Foundation and Emirates Investment Bank.
Notion’s move to Arabic builds on years of grassroots growth as professionals and creators organically adopted the platform. Coinciding with the rollout, the company held a “Make with Notion” showcase in Dubai, bringing together founders, creators, and community members. The event demonstrated Notion’s intention to strengthen its physical presence and deepen its engagement with local audiences, rather than limiting its efforts to software updates.
The addition of Arabic reflects the number of professionals working across multiple languages and markets in the Middle East. By integrating languages directly into the platform, Notion aims to streamline collaboration and create a more intuitive work environment for Arabic-speaking users.
Users can select Arabic in their language settings within the Notion app or enable Arabic through the website’s language menu. With this addition, Notion’s platform now supports 21 languages worldwide.
