Norwegian Eagle AI Wins High North Young Entrepreneur Award

There was a project from Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Finland, Brazil, USA, Netherlands, We represent different industry sectors.

The three selected finalists had the opportunity to present themselves and their business ideas to the conference audience.

  • Fornix AS, Norway – develops software for Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy (VRET)
  • Eagle AI, Norway – develops software that uses satellite data to more accurately predict where fish are in the ocean
  • REMOS Space Systems AB (Sweden) – specializes in developing software-defined communication systems for ground operations of satellites, deep space probes and rockets.

“Outstanding Quality”

The international jury evaluated projects in relation to the following criteria:

Relevance to High North, clarity of business ideas, quality of business plans delivered, and innovation.

“This year has been an exceptional year. The majority of the applications were of excellent quality,” says PhD researcher E.lena Zhurova Sæther oOn behalf of the High North Young Entrepreneurship Committee, High North Center.

In 2022, Alaskan company Arctic Biotech Oath won the race against Norskin and Music Alchemy.

The idea behind the award was that, after the High North Dialogue 2017, American investor Scott Minerd of Guggenheim Partners was inspired in an effort to promote the economic potential of the Arctic through long-term investments in the region. Born when he won the High North Hero award for

Scott Minerd, who passed away last year, donated his prize money to a fund that supports young Arctic entrepreneurs and their business ideas.

The High North Young Entrepreneur Award is awarded by the High North Center for Business and Governance at Nord University and Innovation Norway Nordland.
