North Wales Business Events on Artificial Intelligence (AI)

AI For Business

Attendees will hear how emerging AI platforms and tools are restructuring leadership and strategy, both in real-world applications and policies, at an event run by the Institute of Directors (IOD) North Wales.

Keynote speaker, IOD's Head of Innovation and Technology Policy, Dr. Erin Young, will provide participants with detailed expert insights into the potential benefits and hurdles that AI can bring to businesses.

Lunch will be held on Wednesday, October 8th from noon to 30pm at Wynnstay Arms in Ruabon, both members and non-members.

North Wales Chairman IOD David Roberts believes that by clarifying the advantages and disadvantages of these developments, participants will gain future trust.

He states: “AI is evolving at an unprecedented rate, so I think it's important for local leaders to know exactly how such systems will affect their operations.

“I think this event proves beneficial and I hope that by equipping attendees with relevant knowledge, we can improve performance within their respective sectors.

“Lunch offers a great, relaxed space for the business community to gather together, discuss important topics and expand our network of professional connections.”

The event follows the success of the North Wales Police Control Room Tour of the IOD North Wales Chapter, held earlier this month.

David added: “We are trying to create value for the North Wales business community by exploring topics and themes that equip members in each field.

“It was great to take attendees behind the scenes to see how busy public service organizations put pressure on them and manage them. I hope that all attendees have learned something new from the experience.”
