Effector education group As the company expands, it has appointed Nick Clegg to its advisory board. A.I.– Powering learning platforms across school system and government partnerships around the world.
Clegg, who previously served as Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and later as President of Global Affairs at Meta, will advise Efekta on education policy, technology governance and international partnerships as it expands its AI learning programme.
Efekta develops AI-powered learning tools designed to support education and personalized learning, including AI curriculum systems, AI classroom tools for teachers, and AI teaching assistants for students.
The appointment comes as several local education systems grapple with teacher shortages and growing disparities in educational access, with AI-powered learning platforms increasingly being positioned as part of the solution.
Advisory board role will focus on AI and education policy
Efekta says its advisory board provides guidance on long-term growth, public sector engagement, and the responsible implementation of artificial intelligence in education.
The board will be chaired by José Manuel Barroso, former president of the European Commission and prime minister of Portugal.

Efekta expands AI learning deployment across region
Efecta said the appointment comes at a time of international expansion, with the company reporting new and expanded partnerships with governments and organizations across Southeast Asia, Africa, Central Asia and Latin America.
The company recently launched what it calls the world’s largest AI learning pilot, involving more than 4 million students and teachers across the region.
In a previous pilot in the Brazilian state of Paraná, 750,000 students used the platform. According to Efekta, students who used the system recorded a 32.5% improvement in their state standardized English test scores after two years.
The company said the rollout also confirmed high engagement levels among teachers and students using the platform in the classroom.
Efekta said its advisory board members will support the company as it continues to expand its platform across educational systems and corporate learning environments.
