Prime Video is launching new augmented reality/data live sports coverage across NFL's “Tosday Night Football” and Champions League football coverage in the UK.
AI-powered Prime Insights will be featured during the season Main vision and Next gen statisticsan alternative stream fan that fans can watch in addition to the main feed. Main vision According to Amazon, it will serve as a lab and incubator for new features that could eventually move on to the main feed.
Prime Video resigned from part of the technology during a Champions League match between Tottenham and Villaria Real on September 16th.
The unique innovation was developed through collaborations with Prime Video Producers, Engineers, On-Air Analysts, former NFL players, AI and computer vision experts, made possible by Amazon Web Services.. They highlight key athletes, illuminate hidden aspects, predict pivotal moments, and bring fans closer to action.
New AI features for the 2025 NFL season include “Pocket Health.” The AI model instantly analyzes tens of thousands of data points across the attack line across play, generating on-screen visuals and statistics showing the threat levels that affect the protection of QBs in your pocket.
Other AI features include “The Road to Win,” “The Remaining Prediction,” and “Modifying Wins.”
Returning AI features include “Defense Alert”, “Coverage ID”, “Pressure Alert”, “Prime Target”, “4 Down Area”, and “Field Goal Target Zone”.
