An AI innovation center will be established in Shanghai with the participation of companies and researchers.
This fits well with the city’s strategy of developing the three fields of integrated circuits, biomedicine and artificial intelligence and reaching world-leading levels.
The new center is located in the Grand Neo-Bay Zone of Minhang District, aiming to become an internationally competitive, technology-driven AI professional industrial zone.
To date, Minhang has over 400 AI companies, mainly covering AI applications and frameworks. The district’s AI industry revenue will reach 28 billion yuan ($3.94 billion) in 2020 and will exceed 50 billion yuan by 2025, Minhang officials said Friday.
Also on Friday, the MindSpore Community Council was officially established.
