Police on Saturday questioned Arya Asari, a 17-year-old boy living in Ahmedabad's Arabali district, and allegedly recorded an unforgettable crash video of the Air India Flight 171, which quickly became word-of-mouth.

The Aryans lived with their father in the neighbourhood of Laksuminagal, very close to the airport runway. The teenage boy's father is working with Gujarat Metrorail Corporation Limited.

The virus video, which saw the Air India aircraft drop down and eventually turn into a fireball, was reportedly filmed by the Aryans.

After his name was reported by various media organizations as the source behind the viral video, the city's crime branch team visited his residence and questioned him.

According to The Times of India, the Aryan denied filming the video himself in question, saying that his friend filmed it and that he only recorded it on screen.

He added that he had shared a video with his father.

According to the Indian Express, the 17-year-old is traumatized and has struggled to sleep after witnessing a crash.

Speaking to the Indian Express, the Aryan said, “I had never heard the loud noises of planes taking off or seeing them flying. My dad had told me about it.

He further said he believes he is witnessing the plane landing while the plane of destiny is falling.

“It looked like it was taking off so I got confused and then started wobbling… When the deafening explosion turned into a ball of fire, I was scared,” he said.

The teenager said he felt he could not sit on the plane. Meanwhile, one of his family members said, “He couldn't sleep Thursday after seeing the news, so he realized that what he filmed was the last moment that plagued the families of the 242 victims on the plane and more troubled them from the ground.”

The Air India Flight AI 171, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, crashed 32 seconds after taking off at 1:38pm on June 12th. The flight flew from Ahmedabad to London, carrying 242 people.

The aircraft crashed through the hostel block of BJ Medical College in Meganinagar area of ​​Ahmedabad. At least 265 people were killed and only one passenger survived the crash of the plane. Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was also one of the victims who died in the crash.
