New Delhi: NDMC has introduced new initiatives to fresh academic sessions for 28,000 students from 45 schools under the theme of “Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi”. “Inspired by the Prime Minister's vision of “double AI” (artificial intelligence and ambitious India), these workshops aim to educate students on the fundamentals of AI, the functions and importance of AI in everyday life, the application of virtual reality (VR) and simulators, and the creative use of AI for motion graphics, photography, video and music,” says Chahal.
It also covers ethical considerations of AI, ensuring responsible use of technology. Students will be evaluated, accredited and encouraged to display AI projects, he added.
To enhance academic tracing, NDMC has developed the Management Information System (MIS). This allows real-time tracking of student performance, attendance, health records and direct benefits schemes.
Teachers have individual logins to monitor data for each class, but they record each student's subject purpose mark, attendance, health records and personal information.
According to the statement, the full implementation of the system will begin in April 2025 and all student entries will be confirmed by March 31, 2025.
NDMC also focuses on experiential learning through collaboration with institutions where students have the opportunity to interact with well-known artists, while teachers are trained to improve their skills.
Educational visits to top institutions such as the Isro unit, botanical parks and the Air Force Museum are organized to promote curiosity-driven learning, he added.
To bridge the gap between public and private education, NDMC will work with major private schools such as Sardar Patel School and Modern School to establish learning hubs to promote the highest education practices, student teacher mentorship programs, shared academic resources and infrastructure, and innovative teaching methods.
Additionally, NDMC's career guidance and counseling programs continue to help students make informed career choices.
The NDMC career helpline, launched in December 2024, has already benefited more than 5,000 students and will remain open this year, the statement said.
The Scholarship Initiative will also be strengthened with the NDMC Schools annual Talent Search Exam scheduled for April 2025. In the program, 250 top-performing students will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 1,000 per year.
