“Geopolitical changes and AI disruption are changing the economy,” Professor Yang said. “Employers increasingly value graduates with a global perspective who can understand industry trends and tackle real-world business problems. Interdisciplinary learning allows students to think broadly and approach challenges from multiple angles. And an agile, technology- and AI-savvy mindset helps students adapt quickly, be creative, and innovate boldly.”
Now celebrating its 30th anniversary, NBS has produced more than 69,000 graduates across business and accounting programs, many of whom are shaping industries and driving economic development in Singapore and around the world.
Now, the school is reimagining business education to prepare a new generation for an AI-powered economy. This is a strategic transformation led by Professor Yang that will give students a solid foundation in business and technology and develop the critical thinking and interdisciplinary skills they need to succeed.
The revised curriculum is designed to balance academic depth, applied learning, and global experiences, with greater flexibility for students to adjust their paths. “Our students graduate with a strong academic foundation, work experience, and adaptability to succeed in a rapidly changing world,” Professor Yang said.
