Nanox Adds AI Application to Remote Radiology Platform for CT Second Opinion

Applications of AI

Nanox has added three artificial intelligence (AI) tools to its Second Opinions teleradiology platform for chest and abdominal computed tomography (CT) scans to improve collaboration between patients, radiologists and other specialists.

Three AI tools – HealthCCSng, HealthOST and HealthFLD – have already received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

HealthOST identifies low bone mineral density (BMD) and aids in the detection of compression fractures and is one of three FDA-cleared AI tools added to Nanox's Second Opinions teleradiology platform for chest and abdominal CT scans. (Image courtesy of Nanox)

HealthCCSng enables the detection of coronary artery calcium, an early indicator of coronary artery disease (CAD), according to Nanox. Other integrated AI-powered tools include HealthFLD, which helps detect fatty liver disease through liver density measurement, and HealthOST, which identifies low bone mineral density (BMD) and helps detect compression fractures, according to the company.

“By integrating Nanox.AI's solutions into our second opinion services, we are empowering radiologists and other healthcare providers with advanced AI tools aimed at improving patient outcomes,” said Erez Meltzer, CEO of Nanox. “We continue to explore opportunities to leverage AI technology to facilitate accessible early diagnosis and preventive management.”
