Musk, Levitt, Cruz and Hannity criticized after sharing ‘disgusting’ AI baby video

AI Video & Visuals

It goes without saying that Republicans are big fans of sharing videos created by artificial intelligence (AI). In the past, US President Donald Trump has uploaded a video of him dumping human waste on protesters from a fighter jet, and former Doge director Elon Musk has posted a video of Trump and the Bee Gees dancing to the Bee Gees’ “Staying Alive.”

And now, many Republicans are enjoying sharing a particular type of AI video on social media platforms: “slops” depicting themselves as babies, or “slops” in the Japanese art style known as “chibi.”

Yes, really.

This comes after Musk’s AI chatbot added a new “chibi” template to Grok Imagine, and several prominent conservatives are experimenting with the technology – including Musk himself, who used the template in a clip. joe rogan experience:

“This is fucking disgusting. Does anyone really like this?” one reply to the tweet read.

And Musk wasn’t the only one involved: Fox News host Sean Hannity also shared a video of Musk in a “chibi” outfit, telling his followers, “You should try this.”

Podcaster Katie Miller, wife of White House adviser Stephen Miller, also participated.

Rapper Nicki Minaj has similarly stepped up her support for Trump recently.

But it’s not just the “Chibi” template that has caught the attention of Republicans, as Trump’s press secretary, Caroline Leavitt, shared a video from her “Diaper Democracy” account showing baby versions of the U.S. president and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi in the Oval Office in a reenactment of this week’s meeting.

And Texas Sen. Ted Cruz put himself in the shape of a child and explained, “The SAVE America Act is a policy so simple that even a baby could support it.”

All this leaves other social media users stunned.

One X/Twitter account simply asked, “What are you doing?”

“Imagine if we had a functioning, serious government instead of all this crap,” another person commented.

It’s just embarrassing, really…
