Motorola Solutions Highlights Intersec's AI Video Security

AI Video & Visuals

At Intersec, January 12-14, Motorola Solutions will showcase how its latest advances in AI are helping critical enterprises and security providers maintain safety and awareness across their vast operations, from reactive incident detection to proactive response.

Avigilon Visual Alerts uses an intuitive conversational interface to significantly expand the catalog of visual events that can be detected across large camera feeds. Security teams can easily create custom, site-specific alerts, such as “Unauthorized vehicle near isolation valve” or “Emergency exit blocked.” Visual alerts scan the camera network to detect these scenarios and notify operations and security staff to prioritize and respond quickly. By bringing these generated AI capabilities directly on-premises without the need for cloud connectivity, the company transforms video security from an intrusion and security-focused tool to a site-specific operational engine, enabling critical industries to identify vast safety, compliance, and logistics risks that go far beyond traditional security threats.

said Jehan Wickramasuriya, Senior Vice President, Security & Resilience Software, Motorola Solutions. “The power of our AI-enabled video and access control solutions lies not only in their ability to process data, but also in their ability to give security teams more of their most precious resource: time.” “We are unlocking the full potential of video by dramatically expanding the scope of detection. Whether it's ensuring compliance in a refinery or keeping patients safe in a hospital, we enable our customers to customize their detection systems to the specific and nuanced realities of their daily operations.”

Visual Alerts supports sectors vital to the Middle East economy, such as oil and gas, driven by rapidly growing production and abundant reserves, and healthcare, driven by large government investments. The solution provides real-time, AI-powered detection capabilities to enhance safety, security, and compliance, from alerting workers to hazards to quickly identifying patient falls to constantly monitoring restricted areas.

“As a 300-bed hospital covering approximately 30,000 square meters, we have a large number of people and vast physical resources to protect,” said Abdulb al-Sadiq, IT director at Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Center (HMG) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. “When an incident occurs, our AI-powered Avigilon security platform becomes a powerful tool that helps our security teams orchestrate data, understand a variety of events across our vast operations, and take immediate action based on relevant, verified information.”

Other highlights of Motorola solutions at Intersec Dubai complement visual alerts, including long-range cameras that provide high-precision detection capabilities in extreme environments, and operational resilience software that helps businesses predict, prepare for, and respond to events more efficiently.

Pedro Simoes, Corporate Vice President, Video Security and Access Control, Motorola Solutions. “In the critical industries we serve, our AI technology is proven to improve security, safety, and operational efficiency without adding complexity to staff.”

Attendees can experience Motorola Solutions' safety and security ecosystem, including AI-powered on-premises and cloud-connected video and access control products, at Intersec Dubai's Sheikh Saeed Hall (Stand SA-C11).
