We all know that Kerala has installed 726 AI cameras across the state as part of the Safe Kerala project with the aim of reducing traffic accidents and violations of traffic rules. The AI camera will be implemented on April 20th, and the system will start issuing charangs from May 20th, 2023. The camera will automatically detect a set number of violations and click the image. Triples are one such violation. The cameras show no mercy and fines families of mothers, fathers and children traveling on two wheels. People protested about this too. Now, a mother of two has come across a video of her traveling in a Scooty with her two children, coming up with new ways to escape AI cameras.
This video was uploaded to their YouTube channel by Manorama News. In this video, we can see a mother taking her two children to skating class on a Honda Activa scooter. The video is intentionally blurred to avoid family issues. At first it looks like a normal video, but if you look closer you’ll notice that there are two bags on the scooter but only one child. If you look even closer, you can see the legs of the second child between the legs of the mother.

Since the triumphant news was announced, people have created several funny videos mocking the decision and shared them on social media. One such video shows a child sitting in front of a scooter stuffed in a jute bag so that the cameras do not detect the child. People started to take inspiration from such videos and now seem to be doing the same thing.Children sitting on the footboard area of the scooter are not at all comfortable and it is evident from the video.
The incident was reported from the capital district of Trivandrum. By hiding between her legs, the mother is able to fool the cameras installed on the road. The camera does not detect third parties riding the scooter and the rider can easily escape. This may seem crazy to many, but it is extremely dangerous. The video states that the scooter rider and passenger are wearing riding helmets for safety. However, it is doubtful whether the third child, who was asked to fit in the footboard area of the scooter, wore riding gear.
Many middle-class families have come forward to protest the triple fine rule. They are asking the government to grant exemptions to families with small children. Not all families can buy a car and travel together. India is still a country where the majority of people own and use two wheels for commuting. It is not recommended to take such risks on the street. In the event of an accident, a child sitting between your legs can be seriously injured. Parents should not take this risk for their children or other children. I hope the government will come up with a solution soon.
