The band Zdob Ši Zdub from the Republic of Moldova has released a new music video created with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) for the song “Muma Pădurii” (Mother of the Forest), which is part of the album “Bestia rium”. The video will be Moldova’s first, as reported by News.ro, citing band member and video producer Igor Levinsky.
Zdob si Zdub is a well known name in Moldova and Romania and has been active since 1994. At Eurovision 2022, their song “Trenuletul” (Little Train) took him 7th place.
“The ‘Muma Pădurii’ video concludes the series of storytelling videos from the November 2019 release of the album ‘Bestiarium. The second half of the video was shot in the forest and photographer Katya was invited to play the role of the forest fairy,” he added.
According to the band, Muma Padri (“Mother of the Forest” or “Mother of the Forest”) is portrayed as a wise old woman who lives deep in the forest. She is often portrayed as a protector, protector of the forest and all creatures that inhabit it. According to legend, the nightmare Paduri has a deep connection with nature and possesses magical powers.
The experimental music video was shot and edited by producer Igor Levinski, who has been collaborating with Zdob Ši Zdub for 20 years.
