Denmark-based video solutions company Milestone Systems has opened its first experience center in India, its third facility in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. The company also launched Milestone Kite, a video surveillance as a service (VSaaS) software that offers features such as visitor tracking and artificial intelligence (AI) analytics, as an enterprise-level offering targeted at businesses with multiple locations and a handful of cameras installed at each facility.
Milestone Systems Opens Experience Center in India
The Denmark-based video solutions company announced in a press release (via Analytics India Magazine) that it will open its first experience center in Bangalore. This experience center joins Milestone Systems' three other offices in Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore. The company's latest move is said to be an expansion of its presence in the Indian market.
The new experience centre, the company's third in the Asia Pacific region, offers an interactive space where visitors can observe and explore new-age innovations in the field of video technology. The company is particularly leveraging these technologies in the manufacturing automation, data centre security and healthcare safety industries. The company said in a press release that the launch is in line with India's 'Vikshit Bharat 2047' vision.
With its new foray into India, Milestone Systems aims to support the country's economic development in areas such as automotive manufacturing, smart cities, critical infrastructure and data centers. The company claims that its video solutions will help create safer spaces in sensitive locations such as schools and hospitals. The technology will also improve infrastructure efficiency, it added.
Announced VSaaS software “Milestone Kite”
In addition to the launch of the Experience Center, the company also announced the launch of Milestone Kite, a VSaaS software designed for businesses. Compatible with more than 25,000 devices worldwide, Milestone Kite is cloud-based software that can be integrated into the security systems of businesses of various sizes and structures, although the company emphasizes that it is best suited for businesses with multiple locations and a small number of security cameras.
Milestone Kite works even when IT support or bandwidth is limited: the company claims it can provide support in locations where an on-site gateway device isn't possible. It offers real-time incident reporting, visitor tracking, and AI-based analytics.
