Midjourney, a leading AI model provider, has launched an image-to-image converter that allows users to modify uploaded images or AI-generated images provided by the company's portfolio. Midjourney is a popular artificial intelligence startup, well known for its image generation and image generation with magical touches, showing its bold leap into AI video generation.
Recently, the company launched the V1 as an AI video model. This is a much-anticipated video model, following the prompts to provide users with short clips created by AI. Midjourney is also looking for another innovative idea. CEO David Holz said in a blog post about their ambitious plans: “The AI Model V1 is the next stepping stone to real-time open-world simulations.” The company also introduced plans to expand into 3D rendering and real-time generative models.
Midjourney is one of the most attractive tools for artists and designers. The company is currently making slightly different turns for video generation, creating playgrounds for those who want to make more dreamy videos. Meanwhile, many of their competitors, such as Openai's Sora, Adobe's Firefly, and Google's Tool Veo3, are built with the aim of providing a platform for commercial filmmakers and studios with highly controllable AI tools.
However, video generation is relatively more expensive than previous models, as it consumes eight times more credits than Midjourney's current image tool. However, the company insisted that it would cut costs and restructure its plans later. The V1 currently offers a higher level of video control with “auto” and manual modes. Therefore, consumers can select the modes they need to use with the help of a prompt. Clips can be extended from the default 5-second mode to 21 seconds. The launch of the V1 highlights Midjourney's intention to provide an aesthetic type of video rather than a surreal video, and users' initial responses have been positive and substantial up until now.
