Many organizations feel that generative AI (Genai) is a boon for productivity, and the technology is being deployed at a fierce pace.
However, as genai adoption grows to an astounding 890% in 2024, rapid growth in technology poses considerable risk, especially in the Asia-Pacific and Japan region.

Based on traffic analysis from 7,051 global enterprise customers, Palo Alto Networks' Generation AI 2025 status The report reveals that on average, organizations have 66 Genai applications within their environment, with 10% being considered high risk.
This rapid adoption has more than doubled the case of Genai-related data loss. This accounts for 14% of all data security incidents. While unauthorized use of “shadow AI” is also a problem for IT and security teams, many high-risk models are prone to jailbreak attacks that can lead to chatbots that generate inaccurate or offensive content.
