Microsoft brings Copilot AI to video games

AI Video & Visuals

Microsoft held a big Surface and AI event on Monday. Although there was no live streaming for people to watch, information is coming out related to Microsoft's Copilot and video games.

Microsoft has revealed that it will begin work on adding Copilot directly to the game. The game shown as an example is Minecraft, where players can use the AI to ask if they have the right materials to craft an item. In this case, the item was a sword.

The co-pilot will search your inventory for materials and tell you if you can craft a sword.

“You have a stick that would make a perfect handle for a sword,” said the first officer, “but it seems you are short of materials for the blade. You can use wood, stone, iron, gold, or diamond.”

It's unclear when these features will be added to games like Minecraft or what other games will take advantage of them, but it's clear that Microsoft is looking to guides and tutorials for gamers. . This implementation could go a long way in making the way you search for walkthroughs a thing of the past.

However, we need to wait and see how much it will be adopted.
