What is Meta AI?
Meta AI works within Meta app feeds and chats, allowing you to accomplish tasks, create content, and explore topics without leaving the app. WhatsApp Groups Whether you're chatting for restaurant recommendations, getting ideas for road trip stops, or creating multiple-choice quizzes on the web, Meta AI provides versatile support.
How to use Meta AI in WhatsApp
Users can access the WhatsApp search bar to search personal chats or ask questions to Meta AI. Responses from Meta AI are generated using Meta's AI technology based on user prompts. On first use, Meta AI displays chat results and suggests questions that users can ask. User chat content remains on the device.
Users can use WhatsApp's search feature as usual to find messages, photos, videos, links, GIFs, audios, polls, and documents. To search with Meta AI:
- Tap the search field at the top of your chat list,
- Type the prompt or select a suggested one and tap the search icon.
- As you type, search recommendations will appear under “Ask Meta AI.”
- If prompted, read and accept the terms and conditions, then tap Search Recommendations.
How to Use Meta AI in WhatsApp Group Chats
In WhatsApp group chats, users can ask Meta AI questions or seek advice. All chat participants can see both the message sent to Meta AI and its responses. These responses are generated by Meta's AI technology based on prompts sent by users. Meta AI can only read and reply to questions that specifically mention @Meta AI.
- Open the group chat where you want to use AI.
- Type @ in the message field and click Meta AI.
- If prompted, read and accept the terms and conditions.
- Enter the prompt. Click Enter.
- The AI's response will appear in chat.
