Megan Thee Stallion has found herself embroiled in a new controversy, this time over artificial intelligence (AI).
A sex tape of the Grammy Award winner has been circulating online, and it appears to have been doctored.
Megan slammed the claims and threatened legal action against anyone promoting the video as authentic on X (formerly Twitter).
“It's so awful that you guys go out of your way to hurt me when you see I'm winning,” she wrote on Saturday (June 8). “You guys are going too far, hypocrites. Just know that today is the last day you'll ever play with me. I mean it.”

Megan Thee Stallion isn't the only rapper to be negatively affected by AI.
Last November, Cardi B promised to take scammers to court after they used a deepfake version of her voice to defraud her financially.
On Twitter/X on Nov. 22, Baldi shared a clip in which she overlaid her fake voice dub over the actual video.
“Hey Cardi, it's your turn! I'm going to show you how to get $16,000 in your pocket right now for free!” AI Cardi says in the video. “So pay attention! The state is handing this money out to all of you. No job necessary! This is all part of a stimulus-like program to help Americans get back on their feet. The government is sending you a medical card reloaded with this money every month!”
In a retweet, Cardi wrote: “AI is crazy, sorry….Another lawsuit coming down on me….I love easy money.”
Just a few days later, Sexyy Red was also targeted by the same scam.
A tweet shared by user NateRuns on November 21 revealed that a digital version of St. Louis native Sexy Red's voice was being used in a “free money” ad. In the ad, a person claiming to be Sexy Red claims that “the government is going to hand out loads of money to all of you,” in what appears to be a stimulus check scam.
“Um, does Sexy Red know that a company is using her voice to steal people's information???,” he wrote.
Two days later, on November 23, Sexyy Red quote-tweeted the video, writing, “My lawyers are gonna be in big trouble.”
