Elon Musk has announced a new AI-driven software venture aimed at inspiring companies such as Microsoft, named “Macrohard.”
Tesla has announced details of the project revealing it will work under a Xai startup focused on using artificial intelligence to stimulate the entire software company.
Shared on his official X account, he said: “I'll join Xai and help you build a pure AI software company called Macrohard. This is the name of the tongue, but the project is very realistic! In principle, given that software companies like Microsoft don't manufacture physical hardware, you should be able to simulate them perfectly with AI.”
The trademark filed by Xai on August 1, 2025 with its US patent and trademark office reveals that Macrohard aims to provide a wide range of AI-focused services.
The company uses AI to design software for artificial audio and text production that helps with video games design and coding.
Previously, Musk shared his thoughts on creating Xai as a “multi-agent AI software company.” He also wanted Grok Ai to be a platform where hundreds of professional agents could work together.
Specialized agents further mimic human interactions within virtual machines and improve software until excellence is achieved.
The launch of Macrohard shows a significant escalation of Mask's broader ambition within the AI sector. This includes the large Colossus Supercomputer Project.
The announcement of the new company will add to the portfolio of vast 54-year-old companies, including Tesla, SpaceX and Neuralink.
