Marvel’s latest secret invasion, was a huge success, but there’s one more quirk about this alien-filled series. It’s the opening credits made by Ai.
The first promo sequence depicted the series’ theme, namely the Skrull invasion, saw shapeshifters switching between other people’s faces, and the credits showed some familiar locations.
Polygon also reported that Superhero Studios made a deliberate decision to produce the show’s opening credits with the help of artificial intelligence.
“When we reached out to the AI vendors, it was part of that. It’s straight out of the identity of the shapeshifting Skrull world. Who did this? Who is this? ?” director Ali Selim told the outlet.
The executive producer explained some of the process, admitting he didn’t understand how the complex language works.
“When you talk to them about an idea, a theme, a word, the computer wakes up and does something.
Since the rise of AI in showbiz, animation in particular has been on the back foot, and if not regulated, ruining artificial languages would be core to death for them.
“I really feel like these tools are a way to take away the little bit of influence that we’re feeling,” animator Frank Gibson previously told IGN.
