MailChimp unveils new AI marketing tools to help small businesses acquire more customers

AI For Business

MailChimp, a marketing platform owned by Intuit, deploys the flagship FWD: London Event's flagship suite of AI-powered tools and integrations to help small businesses engage and retain their customers more effectively. The update will be made as 71% of the SMEs surveyed report concerns about customer acquisition in the current economic situation.

The new features are designed to help businesses connect automated marketing workflows with advertising efforts, improve targeting, and drive sustainable growth. “MailChimp is becoming an important bridge between advertising and customer relationships,” said Ken Chestnut, director of Intuit's Global Partner Ecosystem.

Key features include expanding lead generation integration with Meta, Tiktok, Google, Snapchat, and LinkedIn, allowing businesses to send ad campaign data directly to MailChimp to provide real-time follow-up. Users also have access to over 100 customizable pop-up templates tailored to a specific industry, including health, education, and arts.

The new Metrics Visualizer offers over 40 reporting metrics to analyze campaign performance across email and SMS channels, enabling businesses to make more informed and data-driven decisions. These tools are built on over 2,000 updates implemented by MailChimp since December 2024.

The upgrade is part of Intuit's wider push to integrate business tools by integrating MailChimp with QuickBooks. This platform-wide connectivity provides users with a streamlined experience to manage both marketing and financial tasks. “It feels like there's no need to dig into the dots or take part in them,” says Frey Adoggget, head of digital marketing at Serpentine Gallery in London. “MailChimp really simplifies things that are inherently complicated.”

MailChimp is expected to release additional features later in 2025. These include the ability to export custom audience segments to ad platforms like Meta and Google for advanced targeting, as well as the ability to import SMS-only contacts to promote more flexible campaign outreach.

Intuit also announced that it will expand its AI agents ecosystem within QuickBooks to provide support for customer service, payments and project management as a whole. Already, 56% of users say Intuit's AI tools are helping them make faster and more informed decisions.
