Cardiff-based AI specialist Cavefish has been granted an exclusive licence to run a series of ChatGPT and MS Copilot workshops in Wales from July this year.
The company has teamed up with renowned entrepreneur and AI expert Kyle Ballmer to offer a series of one-hour workshops for individuals and businesses to increase their knowledge of AI and learn how to effectively apply it in various professional scenarios.
The course has been developed by Kyle Balmer and has seen over 150 sessions delivered in the last 12 months, and is delivered exclusively in Wales by John Prescott, CDO at Cavefish. John has over 30 years' digital experience and currently heads up the company's Data and Artificial Intelligence practice, serving a range of clients across a range of industries in the UK.
ChatGPT is rapidly growing in popularity, but only around 2% of people in the UK actively use it, compared to 7% in the US.(1)This is despite 85% of Brits being aware of AI language models such as ChatGPT, Google Bard and Bing Chat.(2)However, it is being recognized as an effective tool to help individuals and businesses use artificial intelligence to generate human-like content for increased engagement.
The workshop will not only focus on building knowledge and skills in using ChatGPT and other AI alternatives, but also help participants use it as a “super-intelligent assistant” to support tasks from day-to-day management to deeper content creation and research. The course will teach you how to effectively communicate with AI and use rapid engineering techniques by crafting precise instructions to maximize the benefits of the platform.
This will enable participants to gain practical skills to improve their interactions with AI and understand how AI can bring personal and business benefits, saving time and resources across a range of tasks.
The course covers the fundamentals of using AI but can be tailored to suit participants as needed. Participants will learn the basics in an initial one-hour introductory workshop, with a three-hour advanced workshop also available. The course includes face-to-face training for participants in Wales, with virtual courses also available across the UK.

Jon Prescott, CDO at Cavefish, commented: “AI is at the core of what we do at Cavefish – our business is helping people apply artificial intelligence to their content marketing strategies to improve their digital presence. Artificial intelligence can be used by both individuals and businesses for a variety of tasks, however the challenge is knowing what it does and where to start. We are big advocates of the use of AI and educating more people on how it can be used to support them, whether in their day-to-day work or as part of their business strategy, will ultimately save a lot of time and resources. We're grateful to Kyle Balmer for the opportunity to undertake this workshop, which has already been a success in Wales, and get more people into the use of AI.”
Cavefish is a Cardiff-based company that uses AI content generation to help businesses build and grow their online presence. The platform creates ready-to-use, optimised content, enabling clients to integrate specific requirements such as personas, audience data, SEO requirements and trending topics to support their digital marketing performance.
The platform employs push and pull strategies to help businesses build a content bank by removing the complexity of analytics and research. For example, the pull platform uses deep AI to analyze market news feeds and competitor activity to extract relevant and trending topics that best support a business's SEO requirements and give them a competitive edge in rankings. Meanwhile, the push mode uses analytics to generate digital content, providing ready-made articles and online content that is ready to be published immediately, without the need for optimization.
The company was recognised as a leading innovator in AI-driven SEO and content automation at the Innovation in Business MarTech Awards earlier this year, as well as being a finalist in the Cardiff Life Awards and IOD Start Up Director of the Year.
