LinkedIn wants to help members prove their generative AI proficiency with new credentials that can be displayed on their profiles. This qualification is backed by an AI training provider that supports skills reflection.

As you can see in this example, LinkedIn is rolling out a new “Vibecoding” qualification. This will optionally appear in the “Licenses & Certifications” element of your LinkedIn profile.
So instead of just telling people you know how to use the latest generation of AI tools, you can now enhance it by giving them real qualifications based on actual usage in some apps.
Eligibility includes a link to. explanation, adorable, relay app or Riplitprovides backup data to support generative AI skills.

LinkedIn explains:
“These partner companies validate your knowledge of the tools based on real-world usage patterns. So you don’t need to take a test to prove your knowledge. This is a new type of live authentication. ”
You now have a way to provide qualified and verified examples of your generative AI skills. Given the current demand for the latest technology trends, this can go a long way in helping you stand out in some positions.
However, it is about whether employers recognize and trust these qualifications. LinkedIn uses some of the more popular coding sources to support AI qualifications, but it would look better in a more general sense if these included, for example, OpenAI or Meta’s AI qualifications.
Of course, these don’t exist yet, but the inclusion of bigger names more commonly referred to by AI would seem to have a big impact on this factor, although at this stage it specifically targets coding and coding knowledge (note: LinkedIn is also considering adding Gamma, GitHub, and Zapier AI qualifications to the list).
And for those in the know, this could be a valuable indicator of generative AI’s knowledge and capabilities, which could help more people get jobs.
And perhaps a real qualification like this will help weed out some scammers who try to capitalize on gaps in technical knowledge.
