Lenovo has announced the release of several new hybrid AI solutions aimed at accelerating the application of AI across various industries.
Lenovo’s 18th annual Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report further highlights the company’s commitment to responsible stewardship of accessible and inclusive AI as the company continues to establish itself as a leading provider of smarter AI.
The newly introduced solutions include services delivered by NVIDIA through the Lenovo AI Center of Excellence, validated AI Innovator solutions and sixth-generation Lenovo Neptune liquid cooling, a combination aimed at supporting widespread adoption of AI-enabled computing with a focus on energy efficiency.
The Lenovo AI Service Center of Excellence (AI COE) is aligned with Gartner's five key AI adoption phases and helps customers accelerate their AI implementation in a cost-effective and scalable manner.
The initiative will support full-stack NVIDIA-based technologies through Lenovo AI Fast Start for NVIDIA AI Enterprise. Additionally, the new AI Fast Start for AI Innovators allows enterprises to integrate solutions from the Lenovo AI Innovators program to create customized AI use cases. Additionally, Lenovo AI Discover provides tools to help enterprises visualize and prepare their AI strategy while addressing security, technology, process and organizational readiness. This strategic mapping is intended to effectively unlock real business value.
With over 165 solutions, Lenovo's AI Innovator Solutions portfolio delivers AI-powered outcomes with a focus on productivity, customer service, quality and innovation across industries including retail, hospitality, manufacturing, healthcare, finance and smart city applications.
For example, Lenovo's Smart Virtual Assistant, developed in collaboration with NVIDIA and DeepBrain, provides AI-powered customer service through a virtual employee; in the travel sector, Lenovo AI is enhancing aviation safety with an automatic bird collision prevention solution that uses high-performance equipment to protect airport airspace; smart manufacturing solutions focus on prioritizing zero incidents through video-based analytics for workplace safety and compliance, while smart retail solutions aim to improve the self-checkout experience.
Lenovo's expanding AI PC and workstation portfolio continues to drive advancements in AI development and hybrid capabilities. The introduction of NPU-enabled Lenovo ThinkPad devices and Dynamo AI for AI innovators makes it easier to deploy generative AI applications with built-in multi-language capabilities. Professional users looking for advanced AI and graphics capabilities can benefit from Lenovo's NVIDIA-certified workstations, delivering high-performance computing power for their AI projects.
Lenovo Neptune, a specialist in data center cooling technology, has introduced its 6th generation liquid cooling solutions that increase efficiency and reduce power consumption. Innovative technologies include direct open-loop liquid cooling for CPUs, a patented cold plate design for GPUs, and on-memory cooling technology for high-density HPC systems.
Lenovo's Neptune condensed partnerships enable enterprises to implement high-performance private AI without extensive datacenter infrastructure, most notably with Digital Realty, which leverages Lenovo Neptune cooling technology in more than half of Digital Realty's datacenters worldwide. The partnership aims to achieve sustainability goals and enhance generative AI capabilities without compromising efficiency.
The Lenovo ThinkSystem AI portfolio supports market readiness for powerful 8-way NVIDIA GPU systems. The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR780a V3 delivers ultra-low power usage effectiveness (PUE) with Lenovo Neptune liquid cooling, aligning with environmental sustainability goals for AI.
“Delivering generative AI to every business around the world requires an end-to-end infrastructure purpose-built to simplify the path to AI innovation and enable real-world applications,” said Scott Thies, vice president and general manager of High Performance Computing and AI, Lenovo. “With these new services, Lenovo is enabling validated AI-enabled use cases for customers across every industry, around the world.”
