KnowBe4 has partnered with Secure Code Warrior to add secure coding and AI governance training to its library for organizations with technical teams.
The new suite includes 31 learning activities across 9 learning series, covering 10 programming languages. Available to KnowBe4 customers on the Diamond and SAT Advanced subscription tiers, content is also available in eight audio languages for global teams.
This partnership comes as software development teams extensively utilize artificial intelligence tools in their daily work. KnowBe4 cites data showing that 72% of developers are now using AI in their daily workflows, prompting companies to take a closer look at how they write, review, and manage code.
Focus on security
This training focuses on practical issues in using AI in secure development and coding. Topics include Application Security 101. The top four OWASP issues include broken access controls, security misconfigurations, software supply chain failures, and encryption failures. OWASP Top 10 Large-Scale Language Model Applications, Coding with AI, Data Protection, and Threat Modeling.
Rather than relying solely on traditional awareness courses, this package combines traditional instruction with interactive learning. The purpose is to train developers on the tools and languages they use in their daily work.
This addition expands the scope of technical documentation in KnowBe4’s attack simulation and training library. The company, best known for its security awareness training aimed at a broader workforce, is using this deal to target a market segment that requires more specialized content for developers and other technical staff.
AI governance
For companies, the move reflects broader concerns about the security implications of AI-assisted software development. As coding assistants and generative AI tools become more common, security teams have sought to reduce the risk of introducing vulnerabilities, weak controls, or poor data handling practices early in the software development process.
That concern also extends to the governance of software supply chains and large-scale language model applications. Training in these areas is gaining more attention as companies seek to set rules for how employees use AI tools, what data may be exposed to employees, and how automatically generated code should be checked before reaching production systems.

Secure Code Warrior specializes in developer-focused security training and AI software governance. The agreement gives KnowBe4 access to KnowBe4’s customer base, and KnowBe4 will add training designed for software engineers who need to understand both secure coding principles and the risks associated with AI-assisted development.
Supported programming languages are C# .NET Basic, C# .NET Core, Go Basic, Java Enterprise Edition Basic, Java Spring, JavaScript Node.js Express, Pseudocode Web, Python Basic, Python Django, and PHP Basic. Audio language support includes English, Spanish, French, German, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
The partners said the shift from human-written code to AI-assisted development, and ultimately to more autonomous software systems, is changing the way organizations think about their responsibilities for software security. As a result, there is a growing demand for training that goes beyond general cyber awareness and addresses the day-to-day decisions developers make.
