The track was written from scratch with a monolithic chorus that keeps singing long after the last note has faded. Grooves that hit like a track full of sledgehammers, trademark soaring guitar solos and dramatic pauses or two. This literally made my fingers bleed in the studio.
This is a 100% unforgiving Kraken. Light and shadow are heavy and more powerful than ever.
king kraken is a four-piece rock/metal band from South Wales, UK. In 2025 they released their second album, March of the Gods, and two of the four singles were featured on Planet Rock and Kerrang Radio playlists. Positive album reviews poured in, including reviews by big name artists like Kerrang and a feature in Metal Hammer magazine. With the new album and rave reviews from the rock/metal press, the band embarked on a headline tour.
The band performed at Bloodstock Festival, Call of the Wild, Planet Rock’s Rockstock, Stonedead Festival, and more. They were the first band to play at the Bloodstock Winter Gathering event at KK’s Steel Mill in Wolverhampton. The band has performed with big-name artists such as The Almighty, Dead Daisies, Crobot, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, Monster Trucks, The Sweet, Geoff Tate and Clover.
2026 is also proving to be a big year for the world. king krakenthey’ll be appearing on the main stage at Call Of The Wild Festival and opening at Steelhouse Festival in July. If that’s not enough, he has also secured a spot at Chepstow Castle in August, along with Chris Holmes (WASP) and Tigers of Pantin.
With numerous events taking place across the UK, this train shows no signs of slowing down.
