Kerala Electronics and Communications Engineering graduates have unveiled AI-assisted devices at ENTE Keralam Expo 2025, which allows you to turn spoken words into handwritten notes.
In a LinkedIn post, Ajay H said he is proud to represent the team's project at the state government flagship event held in Alappuzha.
Talk to Write is an AI-powered audio-to-pen system that uses a CNC pen plotter to convert spoken words into handwritten text. Developed using Raspberry Pi, Arduino (GRBL), and Python, the project aims to help people with disabilities by acting as a digital scribe.
The machine writes the indicated wordlines per line on standard A4 paper, showing how audio and automation work together to access them.
“The platform has allowed us to present how we can build accessible and inclusive technologies by combining AI, embedded systems and a clear vision of social impact,” Ajay said in his post.
In the video shared alongside his post, the machine is seen talking to the microphone, saying “the electronics department,” as if he was writing the phrase perfectly on paper.

Ajay also praised his team members Aparna Hari, Lubak Hari Naia and Akash G. Naia for their contributions, calling them an “incredible team” whose creativity and collaboration have enabled innovation.
