Kenya and Egypt are aiming to deepen bilateral cooperation in the digital field following discussions with Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communications and Digital Economy William Kabogo Gitau and Egypt’s Ambassador to Kenya Hatem Yousri Hosni.
During the courtesy call, the two officials explored opportunities to strengthen cooperation across several strategic areas, including artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation, e-government services, ICT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital skills development.
Discussions also focused on knowledge-sharing and capacity-building efforts aimed at accelerating innovation, widening digital inclusion, and strengthening the digital capabilities of both countries. Both sides emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise to support the development of resilient digital ecosystems.
Mr. Kabogo reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to work closely with Egypt to advance common digital priorities and strengthen bilateral relations through technology-driven partnerships. He said enhanced cooperation will help both countries boost economic growth, foster innovation and improve the delivery of digital services to their citizens.
The conference reflects Kenya’s strengthening efforts to expand international partnerships in support of the digital transformation agenda, while leveraging regional and global collaboration to accelerate the adoption of emerging technologies.
