The signing ceremony was attended by key stakeholders from both companies, including Rebellion CEO Sunghyun Park and KB Financial Group Chairman Jonghee Yang, who reaffirmed their commitment to working together to build the next generation AI and financial ecosystem.

This business agreement was established to accelerate KB Financial Group’s AI transformation and ensure the competitiveness of Korea’s AI financial infrastructure in the era of sovereign AI, as global competition for AI leadership intensifies. The two companies plan to establish a collaborative platform that combines AI semiconductor technology and finance.

Rebellion will provide KB Financial Group with the technology and products necessary to build the most advanced domestic AI semiconductor inference infrastructure and financial services. KB Financial Group will then give Rebellion preferential access to financial services and infrastructure related to business operations, financing and management, and employees.

The relationship between the two companies dates back to 2022. KB Financial Group partnered with Rebellion in 2022 through a Series A investment by KB Investment, and selected Rebellion for the startup incubation program “KB Starters” in 2023.

KB Investment made an initial investment in Rebellion during the initial Series A round, with KB Securities participating in group-level funding from Series B onwards. From Series C to the pre-IPO stage, both KB Securities and KB Investment have participated in all investment rounds without exception.
