Movie platform maker Kaleidescape has announced the launch of Kai, an AI-driven discovery feature available in the web version of the Kaleidescape Movie Store.

This new feature enhances the way film enthusiasts discover and explore movies, music concerts and TV shows, making the discovery process smarter, more intuitive and personalised.

“Kai represents our commitment to transforming cinema discoveries through cutting-edge AI technology,” Kaleidescape Chairman and CEO Tayloe Stansbury said in a statement. “Kaleidescape continues to unlock the future of premium home entertainment, and Kai shows great progress in delivering smarter and engaging experiences.”

With the addition of Kai, Kaleidescape customers can leverage the power of generated AI to find exactly what they're looking for when they log in to a movie store and use the feature at a natural language prompt. For example, a user could type, “What movie does a man fall in love with a machine?” To get tailored results or improve your search with more detailed questions like “Is there anything set in space?” and “Is any of these suitable for teens?” according to the company to find the perfect movie.

This new feature is based on Kaleidescape's discovery feature, including on-screen cover art shuffles that use proprietary algorithms to combine similar films together.
