Technology advances set to revolutionize the capabilities and impact of audit teams
K10 Vision, a leading provider of next-generation AI-enabled audit and risk management software, has released preliminary insights from Audit and Risk Technology Survey 2025 (ART25). Taking advantage of conversations with over 130 audit and risk teams around the world that have not yet used K10 Vision, the early findings highlight the broader dissatisfaction with existing legacy systems and a strong appetite for more intelligent AI-driven tools.
The full report will be released later this year, but some clear trends have already been revealed.
• Technology remains underutilized. More than 70% of audit teams currently using audit tools acknowledge that they are primarily used as praised document repositories rather than working directly on the system to take advantage of improved workflows and learning based on real-time management information.

•Automation is delayed. Only 27% of teams that automatically generate audit reports directly from their current system feel that they are genuinely profiting from their current dashboards.
• Migrating to a new platform – 68% of respondents are hoping to consider adopting new technology within the next three years, with key drivers hoping to migrate to more modern AI-enabled solutions.
• Decrease in System Loyalty – 83%, full 83%, is hoping to reevaluate the technology stack within the next five years, indicating a significant shift from older legacy systems and a decline in vendor loyalty.
•On-premises systems last – Despite the cloud migration, on-premises deployments still account for more than 30% of the market in many regions.
•AI adoption remains limited. Less than 10% of the team report critical adoption of AI capabilities within the audit process.
• High price sensitivity – Cost is still an important determinant, and in many cases prices are cited as “important” or higher considerations when choosing or replacing technology.
