Meanwhile, veteran journalist G. Manimaran suggested developing an ethical framework for the use of AI at both media organizations and the national level to prescribe measures to maintain the quality of journalism in the country.
Manimaran believes that this is in line with current advances in digital technology and AI, and that the establishment of such an ethical framework is necessary for the benefit of all parties involved in the world of journalism. .
He said this framework should cover all processes in the practice of journalism, from gathering input, to article production, editing, and distribution of various journalistic products across today's various platforms.
“AI is simply a technological advancement and a tool to facilitate the journalistic process, but it cannot undermine the value of journalism itself,” he said.
He said that despite the potential for advances in technology, including AI, there are many challenges from a journalistic ethics perspective, including a lack of transparency in its use and reliance on AI to fulfill journalists' duties and responsibilities. He said there is.
