Javed Akhtar slams AI-generated video: seriously considering reporting this issue

AI Video & Visuals

Veteran writer and lyricist Javed Akhtar on Friday wrote a note on his social media saying that a viral video in which he claims to have “turned to God” was generated by artificial intelligence and that he is considering reporting the matter.

In a note on his X handle, the lyricist claimed that such fake news is the cause of damage to his reputation and credibility.

“There's a fake video out there showing a fake computer-generated photo of me with a topic over my head that claims I ultimately turned to God. That's bullshit,” he wrote.

“I am seriously considering reporting this to the cyber police and ultimately dragging those responsible for this fake news and the few who forwarded it to court for damaging my reputation and credibility,” he added.

This is not the first time that AI-generated celebrity content has been published on the internet. Earlier morphed videos and pictures of actors like Rashmika Mandanna, Kangana Ranaut, Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar were also released on the internet.
