Introducing Claude Design by Anthropic Labs \ Anthropic

AI Video & Visuals

Today, we’re announcing Claude Design, a new product from Anthropic Labs that lets you collaborate with Claude to create sophisticated visual works such as designs, prototypes, slides, and one-pagers.

Claude Design is powered by Claude Opus 4.7, our most capable vision model, available in Research Preview for Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers. We will gradually roll it out to users throughout the day.

Design with Claude

Even experienced designers need to ration their considerations. We rarely have time to prototype a dozen directions. Therefore, we limit ourselves to a few directions. And for founders, product managers, and marketers who have an idea but don’t have design experience, creating and sharing it can be difficult.

Claude Design gives designers room to explore widely and provides a way for everyone else to create visual work. You explain what you need and Claude builds your first version. From there, tweak it until it’s just right through conversation, inline comments, direct editing, or custom sliders (created by Claude). Once given access, Claude can automatically apply the team’s design system to all projects, so the output matches the design of the rest of the company.

The team uses Claude Design to:

  • Realistic prototype: Designers can easily transform static mockups into shareable, interactive prototypes to gather feedback and user testing without code reviews or PR.
  • Product wireframes and mockups: Product managers can sketch feature flows and hand them over to Claude Code for implementation, or share them with designers for further refinement.
  • Design considerations: Designers can quickly create a wide range of directions to explore.
  • Pitch deck and presentation: Founders and account executives can go from a rough outline to a complete deck based on their brand in minutes, then export as PPTX or send to Canva.
  • Marketing materials: Marketers can create landing pages, social media assets, and campaign visuals, then loop designers around to hone them.
  • frontier design: Anyone can build code-powered prototypes with audio, video, shaders, 3D, and built-in AI.

structure

Claude Design follows the natural flow of creation.

Your brand is included. During onboarding, Claude reads the codebase and design files to build the team’s design system. All subsequent projects will automatically use colors, typography, and components. Systems can be refined over time, and teams can maintain multiple systems.

Import from anywhere. Start with a text prompt and upload an image or document (DOCX, PPTX, XLSX), or provide Claude with your codebase. You can also use web capture tools to capture elements directly from your website to make your prototype look like a real product.

Adjust with fine-grained controls. You can comment on specific elements inline, edit text directly, and adjust spacing, color, and layout live using the adjustment knobs. Then ask Claude to apply the changes to the entire design.

Please cooperate. The design has a shared organizational scope. You can make the document private or share it so anyone in your organization with the link can see it, give editing access so colleagues can make changes to the design, and chat with Claude in a group conversation.

Export anywhere. You can share your design as an internal URL within your organization, save it as a folder, or export it to Canva, PDF, PPTX, or a standalone HTML file.

Handing over to Claude Code. When the design is ready to be built, Claude can package everything into a handoff bundle and pass it to Claude Code in a single instruction.

In the coming weeks, we’ll make it easier to build integrations with Claude Design to connect to more tools your team already uses.

Let’s get started

Claude Design is available to Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers. Access is included in your plan and uses your subscription limits, but you also have the option to continue beyond your limits by enabling additional usage.

For enterprise organizations, Claude Design is turned off by default. Your administrator can enable this in your organization settings.
