Int'l meetings on data science, AI and applications begin

Dhaka, July 18, 2025 (BSS) – The two-day international conference on data science, AI and applications (ICDSAIA 2025) has started today at the EATL Innovation Hub in Kaliakowar Haitek city, Gazaipur district.

The event brings together renowned researchers, academics, policymakers and technology experts from Bangladesh and around the world to explore the transformational potential of data science and artificial intelligence (AI) in a variety of sectors.

Financial Advisor Dr Salehadin Ahmed attended the first meeting of the meeting as the vice-guard of Vice-Chan, Professor Niaz Ahmad Khan, University of Dhaka.

EATL Innovation Hub Managing Director of Ma Mubin Khan is EATL Innovation HubMd. Abdul Karim's chairman gave a welcoming speech while taking the sessions.

The conference is co-organizing more than a century of academic excellence between EATL Innovation Hub, Bangladesh's first private innovation centre, and Salford University, a prestigious public university in the UK (UK).

The main objective of the conference is to promote innovative applications of data science and AI and define future directions in education, healthcare, industry and public policy through these emerging technologies.

This year's technical program received 218 full paper submissions from around the world.

The Director of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Mo Saraee University, Salford, chaired the Technical Program Committee.

On the first day, Dr. Latifour Khan, IEEE Fellow and Director of the University of Texas Big Data Analysis and Management Lab, gave a keynote address.

On the second day, Professor Sushmita Mitra of the Institute of Statistics of India will present a keynote address on advances in machine intelligence.

The closing session will present a welcome speech by the Director of International Development at Nancy Cook University, Salford.
The Chief Guest will be the secretary of Shish Haider Chowdhury, ICT division.

Dr. ASM Amanullah, VC Professor at National University of Bangladesh, Professor at Salford Mo Saraee University and Managing Director of EATL Innovation Hub Ma Mubin Khan will be taking part in the session.

Application of AI in the healthcare sector with participation from leading domestic physicians and policy makers.

The two-day event will feature 16 research papers presentations in four theme tracks, including workshops, panel discussions, poster exhibitions and four theme tracks.
