Infineon Acquires Small Swedish Machine Learning Company Imagimov on Undisclosed Terms

(RTTNews) – German semiconductor company Infineon Technologies AG (IFNNY) announced Tuesday that it has acquired Stockholm-based start-up Imagimob AB. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the financial terms of the transaction.

Imagimob offers Tiny Machine Learning and Automated Machine Learning (AutoML) solutions. A platform provider of machine learning solutions for edge devices. Imagimob is a development platform for fast and easy end-to-end development of Edge AI applications for resource-constrained devices.

With this acquisition, Infineon strengthens its position in machine learning solutions and significantly complements its AI offerings. The company also expects to strengthen its offering of embedded AI solutions.
