JAKARTA (ANTARA) – Artificial intelligence (AI) is not only a need, but a future obligation, and university graduates must embrace innovation in value, Indonesia's vice minister of primary and secondary education, ATIP Latipulhayat said on Saturday.

“AI may be surprising, but as Professor BJ Habibie said, the most original intelligence is our brain,” Latipulhayat told an event in Jakarta. “As long as humans create technology, it will not replace us.”

ASEP Saefuddin, president of Al-Azhar University Indonesia (UAI), also spoke to the alumni, reminding them that they are a lifelong learner who seeks both knowledge and meaning.

“Armed with sincerity, emotional intelligence and noble character, you will become the “highest generation” of God, not only those who are willing to seek jobs, but also those who seek jobs,” says Saefuddin.

Both speakers highlighted the importance of adaptability, innovation and value-driven education as Indonesia prepares the next generation for an AI-driven world.
