IIT Bombay has announced the launch of a six-month certificate program titled Supply Chain Analytics with AI and ML applications. The program, offered by Industrial Engineering Operations Research (IEOR), will be launched in October 2025 and will be delivered in collaboration with Great Learning as an Edtech partner. Registration is currently open.
The certificate course is intended for experts looking to enhance their supply chain management expertise while embracing the latest advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). The program consists of five integrated modules covering both basic principles and advanced applications. Participants will study topics such as data-driven supply chain analysis, demand forecasting and planning, inventory models, supply chain network design and optimization, transportation and risk analysis.
The focus is on experiential learning. Case studies, scenario-based discussions, and practical exercises allow learners to apply theoretical concepts to real-world situations. Specific focus areas include advanced inventory modeling, the use of ML algorithms for demand forecasting, network optimization, and the possibility of generating AI for scenario planning and decision support.
