Software provider IFS will partner with Claude’s company Anthropic, Siemens, US robotics companies Boston Dynamics and 1X Technologies to expand the use of AI in industry.
The partnership was announced today at IFS’ annual event, IFS Unleashed, in New York and aims to integrate AI into robots, factories and power grids.
Speaking at the event, IFS CEO Mark Moffat said: “The opportunity for robotics in conjunction with AI is an unlimited workforce. This has the potential to solve some of the workforce shortages we see today.”
IFS said its partnership with Anthropic will launch an AI product called Resolve that will bring “industry-specific AI directly into the hands of frontline workers.”
“At Anthropic, we understand the huge opportunities and risks of AI. We’re not reselling Claude. We’re developing new capabilities for the people we serve,” Moffat said.
“The industries and customers we support run mission-critical operations. There is no room for error or illusion. If it’s not 99.99999% right, lives are at risk and the aircraft cannot land,” he added.

Applying IFS Industrial AI to robots
partnership with boston dynamics and 1X Technology integrates IFS AI software into robots that can be used in remote work, factories, and warehouses.
IFS will work with 1X to develop and deploy humanoid robots for use in sectors such as aviation and manufacturing. The companies say the partnership will provide production-ready robots to selected customers.
IoT-enabled robots feed operational data to IFS.ai, combining robotic hardware with intelligent maintenance orchestration and warehousing applications in sectors ranging from aviation MRO to utility maintenance.

In partnership with Boston Dynamics, Boston’s Spot robots will be connected to IFS enterprise data systems and used to inspect industrial assets and collect critical operational data in real time.
Spot uses a thermal camera to detect overheating, listen for air or gas leaks, read analog pressure and flow gauges, check indicator lights, identify hazards such as spills, and detect voltage anomalies.
Applied to industrial AI, Claude creates Resolve

IFS says Resolve will reflect the realities faced by engineers and workers in aerospace, defense, construction, engineering, manufacturing, energy, utilities and telecommunications.
Resolve features include:
- Predict and prevent failures faster by interpreting multimodal data such as video, audio, temperature and pressure, and complex schematics.
- Connect technicians to the right parts, right locations with optimized schedules.
- Prevent future failures, reduce paperwork, and collect valuable data with voice recognition and automatic transcription.
IFS says Resolve helps solve problems such as loss of expertise and aging infrastructure with a scalable, high-impact AI solution designed for industrial applications.

Additionally, in partnership with siemens will work to bring AI to autonomous power grids by integrating IFS’ AI-powered enterprise asset management, field service, and asset investment planning capabilities with Siemens’ Gridscale X solution.
