Microsoft has a new free tool that allows you to create AI-generated videos: Bing Video Creator. When I tried it, I typed in a text prompt and within a minute, the app produced a 5-second video with a bbing logo on an inflatable flow floating in the pool with flamingos and donuts floating.
There are some limitations to starting out with a 5-second length. Also, for now, the video is only in vertical format at 9:16. Microsoft says the 16:9 horizontal format will soon be available. Users have the option to create “fast” or “standard” videos. According to the app, the standard is almost instantaneous, but the standard can take several hours. FAST requires the use of Microsoft Rewards points that can be earned through Bing Searches and Microsoft Store purchases.
The 5-second video bbing video creator frame has been whipped up. The water spills gently, and the float shook lightly.
The feature is currently only available on the Bing Search Mobile app, but according to the company, it appears in Windows Desktop and Copilot search and is powered by Openai's Sora Video Technology. Bing Video Creator will be involved in other major AI-driven video creation tools, including ChatGpt's Sora, Adobe Firefly, Google Veo, Runway, and Meta Movie Gen.
For those willing to pay for Gemini Ultra, you can see that Google's latest VEO 3 features are available. The technology is moving quickly, with more options available, some available for free and free purchases.
How to Use Bing Video Creator
Finding and using Bing Video Creator is not instantly intuitive, especially if you're not using the Bing Search app yet. In the Bing Search app, you accessed the features by clicking on the box at the bottom right of the home screen.
This will allow you to see many apps within the app. Find the video creator in the bottom left. So you can create a still or video by entering a text prompt. With the default, fast option, you need to generate short videos at the moment.
You can also type “Create a video…” directly into the app's main search bar if you don't want to look for features. You can download and share the video.
When I tried it, I found that the video wasn't very high quality and it's not easy to download directly from the app. When you share a link to creating a video and view it outside of the app, you will have the option to download the full video.
Microsoft says video creation will be available for 90 days.
Selecting AI Video Generators
Microsoft's AI Video Making Entry offers people another free option for casual users.
Many people working in the AI business, including Matt Psencik, director of security and product design research at Tanium, have followed the deployment of these products led by SORA last year. Psencik says one of them was the most impressive.
“Google has the launch of Gemini's VEO 3 stands out,” he says. “
According to Psencik, the risk is that realistic video generation could be used to misuse deepfakes or to try to hijack other people's identities. Most AI video generators have guardrails or filters on what content users can request to generate, whether to avoid copyright issues or prevent hate speech or propaganda.
However, Psencik is not stopping AI Bots from posting fake videos online, and many people don't know about it separately from reality.
“AI-generated videos are almost indistinguishable from reality, so it's only a matter of time before these tools are regularly weaponized as massive, real people,” he says.
