According to investors and television personalities, artificial intelligence significantly reduces the cost of acquiring new customers, and companies that ignore AI are not valuable investments.
In an interview with CointeLegraph, O'Leary said the new customer acquisition, which is primarily through content creation and multimedia marketing, is “the highest cost increase in the last 36 months.”
“If you look at the cost of creating that content, it's more than four times that sometimes it's 10 times,” he added that AI has reduced the cost of producing content by 60%.
O'Leary told Cointelegraph that he was asking about AI use before investing in future companies.
“Before I meet the CEO, I want to know who runs the show in terms of generating and retaining customer acquisition, growing customer acquisition costs, reducing customer acquisition costs, and increasing ROI in advertising spending.”
My first question is, who is running your AI program? What stack are you on? Which tools are you using and who is doing your social media? ”
While reducing acquisition costs is beneficial for businesses, investors added, it is covered by the geographical strategic importance of AI and the need to maintain US leadership in the sector.

Investing in Bitzero
O'Leary is also an investor in Bitzero, a Bitcoin (BTC) mining and high-performance computing company that operates data centers in Norway, Finland and North Dakota, USA.
Investors told Cointelegraph that owning the infrastructure behind Bitcoin and AI is likely to prove to be a more sustainable and profitable business model than pursuing the business that this infrastructure offers.
“It's an old analogy from the gold age hundreds of years ago. The least risky and most money-earners sold jeans, picks and shovels,” he said.
The US and China are in the AI Cold War
“We're in a technological war with China. We're really, really,” the investor said. O'Leary compared bee colonies and AI developer AI chips to Queen Bee and Worker Bee.
Developers and programmers gather around new AI chips to create “honey” or computer code, investors told Cointelegraph.
By limiting the use of AI chips built by US companies through sanctions and punitive trade policies, it will allow competing countries to multiply chipsets and construction and pilot AI development, O'Leary concluded.
