AI teacher’s success
In a video shared by ANI, Sophie introduces herself. “I am an AI teacher robot. My name is Sophie and I was invented by Aditya. I teach at Shivcharan Inter College, Bulandshahr… Yes, I can teach students properly.” The robot answered questions about the world’s tallest building, the first president of India, the first prime minister, and even basic arithmetic like “100 + 92”. Currently, Sophie communicates in Hindi, but plans are afoot to add writing capabilities.
How Sophie AI Teacher was built
Commenting on the creation of Sophie, Aditya Kumar said, “I have used the LLM chipset to create this robot, which is also used by leading companies that manufacture robots. This will clear the doubts of the students…For now, she can only speak. But we are designing her to be able to write as well soon.”
Mr. Aditya also emphasized the need for accessible research facilities. “We need labs in every school district so students can come and do research,” he said, emphasizing that such resources could help more students innovate like he did.
This young inventive AI teacher reflects the growing potential of technology in Indian classrooms. If developed further, Sophie could complement traditional education and help fill educational gaps in schools facing teacher shortages.
